Register O’Donnell Expands Suits for Success Program to Veterans

Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell today reaffirmed the Registry’s commitment to supporting the successful Suits for Success program by agreeing to partner with the VA Boston Healthcare System Voluntary Service program. Currently, the Registry is also partnering with Interfaith Social Services of Quincy and Father Bill’s & MainSpring of Quincy and Brockton.

Register O’Donnell stated, “The Registry of Deeds is delighted to partner with the Veterans Administration in conjunction with Suits for Success program.  I am truly excited about this partnership, for it is a way to expressly thank the men and women whose military service made our country the power it is today.

“The VA Boston Healthcare System Voluntary Service program depends on the goodwill of its benefactors and volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes, according to its mission statement. And this is what we are exactly trying to do in honoring and repaying these deserving veterans through this clothing program.”

Business appropriate clothing donations received through the Suits for Success program assist organizations in providing clothes to people who are actively seeking employment. “By just looking in your closet or bureau, you can make a world of difference in someone’s life. They are individuals who are attempting to re-enter the workforce and want to make a good initial impression on their interview or want to dress appropriately for their first day on the job,” noted O’Donnell.

Business appropriate attire for men and women will be accepted. Suggested donations include suits, dress shirts and ties for men and dresses, suits, blouses, skirts and pants for women. All clothing should be ready for a person to wear, in-style, clean, pressed and on hangers.

To contribute, individuals need to bring their donated clothes to the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds, 649 High Street in Dedham between the hours of 9-5, Monday through Friday. For more information about the Suits for Success program, or to schedule a drop-off time, please contact Alicia Gardner at (781) 461-6104 or by email [email protected].

Register O’Donnell concluded, “You can make an immeasurable difference in helping someone get back into the workforce by making a donation to the Suits for Success program. It’s an initiative that truly works, and the organizations who receive these contributions are so grateful for your support.”
