Real Estate activity in Bellingham during the 3rd quarter of 2015 saw an increase in total real estate sales volume but a decrease in borrowing.


 


There was a 22% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Bellingham during the 3rd quarter of 2015. 1,136 land documents were recorded versus 934 during the 3rd quarter of 2014.


 


The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Bellingham during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was $37,731,244, a 50% increase over 2014 3rd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $333,904, a 29% increase from the same time period in 2014.


 


The number of mortgages recorded against Bellingham properties during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was 231, a 26% increase from the 3rd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $51,619,633 for the quarter compared to $154,506,960 for the 3rd quarter 2014.


 


There were 6 foreclosure deeds filed against Bellingham properties during the 3rd quarter 2015 compared to 0 filings during the same time period in 2014. 


 


Finally, homestead activity increased in Bellingham during the 3rd quarter 2015 with 104 Homesteads recorded representing an 18% increase from the 3rd quarter 2014 total of 88.
