Dover, MA 2015 Real Estate Activity Report

During 2015, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in both total volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 5% increase in the number of documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover in 2015. 1,563 land documents were recorded versus 1,488 during 2014. 

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during 2015 was $136,207,267, a 10% increase from 2014. The average sale price of homes and commercial property was up 6% in Dover. The average sale was $1,164,164.

 

The number of mortgages recorded (350) on Dover properties in 2015 was up by 17% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also increased by 7% to $196,780,691 during the same period.

 

There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against a Dover proprety during 2015, representing a 67% decrease from the previous year when there were 3 foreclosure deeds filed.

 

Finally, homestead activity increased  3% in Dover during 2015 with 127 homesteads filed compared to 123 in 2014.
