Dover, MA 2nd Quarter 2017 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 2nd quarter of 2017, real estate activity in Dover saw no percentage change in total sales volume but an increase in average sales price.

 

There was a 14% decrease in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 2nd quarter 2017. 496 land documents were recorded versus 578 during the second quarter 2016.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 2nd quarter 2017 was $55,824,995, no percentage change from the same time period in 2016. However, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 12% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,094,607. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (101) on Dover properties during the 2nd quarter 2017 was down 25% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also decreased 20% to $61,711,509 during the same period.

 

There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against a Dover property during the 2nd quarter 2017 compared to 0 filings during the 2nd quarter 2016. 

 

Finally, homestead activity decreased 7% in Dover during the 2nd quarter 2017 with 51 homesteads filed compared to 55 during the same time period in 2016.
