Dover, MA 2nd Quarter 2019 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 2nd quarter of 2019, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 16% decrease in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 2nd quarter 2019. 324 land documents were recorded versus 388 during the second quarter 2018.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 2nd quarter 2019 was $46,905,830, a 15% increase from the same time period in 2018. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 35% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,617,442. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (81) on Dover properties during the 2nd quarter 2019 was up 8% from the 2nd quarter 2018. Also, total mortgage indebtedness increased 66% to $68,718,744 during the same period.

 

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Dover properties during the 2nd quarter 2019, no change from the 2nd quarter 2018.  

 

Finally, homestead activity decreased 17% in Dover during the 2nd quarter 2019 with 29 homesteads filed compared to 35 during the same time period in 2018.
