Real Estate activity in Dover during the 3rd quarter of 2015 saw increases in both total real estate sales volume and borrowing.


 


There was a 4% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 3rd quarter of 2015. 431 land documents were recorded versus 413 during the 3rd quarter of 2014.


 


The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was $45,809,330, a 55% increase over 2014 3rd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $1,090,698, a 22% increase from the same time period in 2014.


 


The number of mortgages recorded against Dover properties during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was 85, a 20% increase from the 3rd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $50,503,605 for the quarter compared to $34,631,566 for the 3rd quarter 2014.


 


There were was 1 foreclosure deed filed against Dover property during the 3rd quarter 2015 compared to 2 filings during the same time period in 2014. 


 


Finally, homestead activity decreased in Dover during the 3rd quarter 2015 with 33 Homesteads recorded representing an 11% decrease from the 3rd quarter 2014 total of 37.
