Dover, MA 3rd Quarter 2017 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 3rd quarter of 2017, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 1% decrease in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 3rd quarter 2017. 472 land documents were recorded versus 476 during the third quarter 2016.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 3rd quarter 2017 was $59,985,891, a 50% increase from the same time period in 2016. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 17% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,199,717. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (83) on Dover properties during the 3rd quarter 2017 was down 22% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also decreased 21% to $47,959,407 during the same period.

 

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Dover properties during the 3rd quarter 2017 compared to 1 filed during the 3rd quarter 2016. 

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 32% in Dover during the 3rd quarter 2017 with 54 homesteads filed compared to 41 during the same time period in 2016.
