Foxborough, MA 1st Quarter 2016 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 1st quarter of 2016, real estate activity in Foxborough saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 14% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2016. 773 land documents were recorded versus 678 during the first quarter 2015.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2016 was $33,024,617, a 78% increase from the same time period in 2015. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 57% in Foxborough. The average sale price was $660,492. These figures were impacted in part by a $9.4 million commercial real estate transaction that was recorded on 2/22/16.

 

The number of mortgages recorded (176) on Foxborough properties during the 1st quarter 2016 was up 14% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also increased by 87% to $93,835,257 during the same period.

 

There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against a Foxborough property during 1st quarter 2016 compared to 2 foreclosure deed filings during the 1st quarter 2015. 

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 2% in Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2016 with 60 homesteads filed compared to 59 during the same time period in 2015.
