Foxborough, MA 1st Quarter 2017 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 1st quarter of 2017, real estate activity in Foxborough saw decreases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 2% decrease in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2017. 760 land documents were recorded versus 773 during the first quarter 2016.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2017 was $25,424,258, a 23% decrease from the same time period in 2016. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property decreased 25% in Foxborough. The average sale price was $498,514. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (155) on Foxborough properties during the 1st quarter 2017 was down 12% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also decreased by 52% to $45,326,364 during the same period.

 

There were 3 foreclosure deed filed against Foxborough properties during 1st quarter 2017 compared to 1 foreclosure deed filed during the 1st quarter 2016. 

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 5% in Foxborough during the 1st quarter 2017 with 63 homesteads filed compared to 60 during the same time period in 2016.
