Foxborough, MA 2nd Quarter 2016 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 2nd quarter of 2016, real estate activity in Foxborough saw decreases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 4% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Foxborough during the 2nd quarter 2016. 990 land documents were recorded versus 956 during the second quarter 2015.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Foxborough during the 2nd quarter 2016 was $35,765,155, a 51% decrease from the same time period in 2015. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property decreased 59% in Foxborough. The average sale price was $411,093. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (214) on Foxborough properties during the 2nd quarter 2016 was down 3% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also decreased by 78% to $69,417,903 during the same period.

 

There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against a Foxborough property during 2nd quarter 2016 compared to 3 foreclosure deed filings during the 2nd quarter 2015. 

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 21% in Foxborough during the 2nd quarter 2016 with 94 homesteads filed compared to 78 during the same time period in 2015.
