Foxborough, MA 3rd Quarter 2019 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 3rd quarter of 2019, real estate activity in Foxborough saw decreases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 4% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Foxborough during the 3rd quarter 2019. 911 land documents were recorded versus 875 during the third quarter 2018.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Foxborough during the 3rd quarter 2019 was $32,657,534, a 56% decrease from the same time period in 2018. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property decreased 48% in Foxborough. The average sale price was $459,965.  These figures were impacted by two commercial real estate transactions of $15.2 million and $18 million that were recorded during the 3rd quarter 2018.

 

The number of mortgages recorded (210) on Foxborough properties during the 3rd quarter 2019 was up 22% from the previous year. Also, total mortgage indebtedness increased 34% to $63,902,893 during the same period.

 

There were 2 foreclosure deeds filed against Foxborough properties during the 3rd quarter 2019 compared to 0 foreclosure deeds filed during the 3rd quarter 2018. 

 

Finally, homestead activity decreased 7% in Foxborough during the 3rd quarter 2019 with 89 homesteads filed compared to 96 during the same time period in 2018.
