Real Estate activity in Franklin, MA during the 2nd quarter of 2015 saw increases in both total real estate sales volume and borrowing.


There was an 8% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Franklin during the 2nd quarter of 2015. 1,570 land documents were recorded versus 1,452 during the 2nd quarter of 2014.


The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Franklin during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was $58,907,518, a 16% increase over 2014 2nd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $516,732, a 36% increase from the same time period in 2014.


The number of mortgages recorded against Franklin properties during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was 391, a 23% increase from the 2nd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $234,040,581 for the quarter compared to $109,762,182 for the 2nd quarter 2014.


There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against Franklin property during the 2nd quarter 2015.


Finally, homestead activity was flat in Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2015 with 133 Homesteads recorded, the same number that was recorded during 2nd quarter 2014.
