Quincy, MA 3rd Quarter 2021 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 3rd quarter of 2021, real estate activity in Quincy saw increases in total sales volume and average sales price. 

 

There was a 4% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Quincy during the 3rd quarter 2021. 4,722 land documents were recorded versus 4,541 during the 3rd quarter 2020.   

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Quincy during the 3rd quarter 2021 was $409,096,988, a 79% increase from the same time period in 2020. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 45% in Quincy. The average sale price was $876,010.  

 

The number of mortgages recorded (1,019) on Quincy properties during the 3rd quarter 2021 was down 12% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness was $489,741,729, down 15% from the 3rd quarter 2020.   

 

There were 3 foreclosure deeds filed against Quincy properties during the 3rd quarter 2021 compared to 3 foreclosure deed filed during the 3rd quarter 2020. 

 

Finally, homestead activity in Quincy increased 3% during the 3rd quarter 2021 with 379 homesteads filed, compared to 367 filed during the same time period in 2020.
