Real Estate activity in Stoughton during the 3rd quarter of 2015 saw decreases in both total real estate sales volume and borrowing.


There was a 25% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Stoughton during the 3rd quarter of 2015. 1,600 land documents were recorded versus 1,277 during the 3rd quarter of 2014.


The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Stoughton during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was $52,277,404, a 40% decrease over 2014 3rd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $368,150, a 57% decrease from the same time period in 2014.


The number of mortgages recorded against Stoughton properties during the 3rd quarter of 2015 was 291, a 17% increase from the 3rd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $66,868,889 for the quarter compared to $90,995,847 for the 3rd quarter 2014.
