Proposal to Eliminate Registry IT Technology Department- A Disaster
During the 2nd quarter of 2019, real estate activity in Franklin saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.
There was an 4% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2019. 1,741 land documents were recorded versus 1,675 during the second quarter 2018.
The total volume of real estate sales in Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2019 was $119,792,358, a 40% increase from the same time period in 2018. The average sale price of homes and commercial property also increased 49% in Franklin. The average sale price was $688,461.
The number of mortgages recorded (390) on Franklin properties during the 2nd quarter 2019 was up 11% from the previous year. Also, total mortgage indebtedness increased 1% to $115,941,558 during the same period.
There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against Franklin property during the 2nd quarter 2019 compared to 3 foreclosure deeds filed during the 2nd quarter 2018.
Finally, homestead activity decreased 1% in Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2019 with 180 homesteads filed compared to 181 during the same time period in 2018.
