Proposal to Eliminate Registry IT Technology Department- A Disaster
During the 2nd quarter of 2021, real estate activity in Franklin saw increases in total sales volume and average sales price.
There was a 28% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2021. 2,495 land documents were recorded versus 1,951 during the 2nd quarter 2020.
The total volume of real estate sales in Franklin during the 2nd quarter 2021 was $121,791,117, a 84% increase from the same time period in 2020. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 1% in Franklin. The average sale price was $651,289.
The number of mortgages recorded (629) on Franklin properties during the 2nd quarter 2021 was down 1% from the previous year. However, total mortgage indebtedness was $241,090,553, up 55% from the 2nd quarter 2020.
There were 2 foreclosure deeds filed against Franklin properties during the 2nd quarter 2021 compared to 1 foreclosure deed filed during the 2nd quarter 2020.
Finally, homestead activity in Franklin increased 64% during the 2nd quarter 2021 with 198 homesteads filed, compared to 121 filed during the same time period in 2020.
