The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Weymouth during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was $84,081,640, a 16% decrease over 2014 2nd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $339,038, a 26% decrease from the same time period in 2014.
The number of mortgages recorded against Weymouth properties during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was 660, a 35% increase from the 2nd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $378,240,194 for the quarter compared to $130,972,916 for the 2nd quarter 2014.
There were 13 foreclosure deeds filed against Weymouth properties during the 2nd quarter 2015. This represented an increase of 86% over the same time period in 2014.
Finally, homestead activity increased in Weymouth during the 2nd quarter 2015 with 274 Homesteads recorded representing a 21% increase from the 2nd quarter 2014 total of 226.
