Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell recently delivered food donations to the Milton Community Food Pantry. The donations came from members of the public and Registry staff who participated in the Registry’s 2017 Annual Holiday Food Drive.
“On behalf of all who generously contributed to the Registry’s food drive, it is my pleasure to deliver this food to the Milton Community Food Pantry,” noted Register O’Donnell. Among the non-perishable food items handed over by the Register to supervisor Natalie McKnight were boxes of spaghetti, cereal, jars of sauces, canned soups, vegetables and fruits.
“No matter a community’s median income,” noted the Register, “no town is immune from the issues of food insecurity. Especially during the winter months, it is important to remember those in need.”
The Milton Community Food Pantry is located at 158 Blue Hills Parkway, (Parkway Methodist Church). They are open every Saturday morning from 9:15-11:15AM. Donations are accepted on Saturday morning before 10:30AM. If you have held a food drive, and have a large donation that needs to be dropped off, contact the Pantry at 617-696-0221 to make arrangements.
