Cohasset, MA 1st Quarter 2018 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 1^st quarter of 2018, real estate activity in Cohasset saw decreases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

There was a 14% decrease in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Cohasset during the 1^st quarter 2018. 468 land documents were recorded versus 542 during the first quarter 2017.

The total volume of real estate sales in Cohasset during the 1^st quarter 2018 was $30,433,421, a 31% decrease from the same time period in 2017. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property decreased 14% in Cohasset. The average sale price was $895,100.

The number of mortgages recorded (101) on Cohasset properties during the 1^st quarter 2018 was down 4% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness also decreased 1% to $54,349,929 during the same period.

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Cohasset properties during the 1^st quarter 2018, compared to 1 foreclosure deed filed during the 1^st quarter 2017.

Finally, homestead activity decreased 9% in Cohasset during the 1^st quarter 2018 with 39 homesteads filed compared to 43 during the same time period in 2017.
