Dover, MA 1st Quarter 2019 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 1st quarter of 2019, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was no statistical change in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 1st quarter 2019. 241 land documents were recorded versus 242 during the first quarter 2018.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 1st quarter 2019 was $28,606,916, a 29% increase from the same time period in 2018. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 29% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,787,932. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (46) on Dover properties during the 1st quarter 2019 was the same number recorded year over year. Total mortgage indebtedness decreased 13% to $29,903,000 during the same period.

 

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Dover properties during the 1st quarter 2019, no change from the 1st quarter 2018.  

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 26% in Dover during the 1st quarter 2019 with 29 homesteads filed compared to 23 during the same time period in 2018.
