Dover, MA 2019 Real Estate Activity Report

During 2019, real estate activity in Dover saw no statistical change in total sales volume but an increase in average sales price.

 

There was an 8% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during 2019. 1,444 land documents were recorded versus 1,336 during 2018.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during 2019 was $147,901,025, no statistical change from 2018. However, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 10% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,435,932. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (330) on Dover properties during 2019 was up 30% from 2018. Also, total mortgage indebtedness increased 44% to $240,323,522 during the same period.

 

There was 1 foreclosure deed filed against a Dover property during 2019, the same number recorded in 2018.   

 

Finally, homestead activity increased 1% in Dover during 2019 with 138 homesteads filed compared to 137 recorded during 2018.
