Dover, MA 2nd Quarter 2021 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 2nd quarter of 2021, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in total sales volume and average sales price. 

 

There was a 17% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 2nd quarter 2021. 577 land documents were recorded versus 493 during the 2nd quarter 2020.   

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 2nd quarter 2021 was $73,182,767, a 20% increase from the same time period in 2020. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 26% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,977,912.  

 

The number of mortgages recorded (161) on Dover properties during the 2nd quarter 2021 was up 22% from the previous year. Total mortgage indebtedness was $103,832,629, up 12% from the 2nd quarter 2020.   

 

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Dover properties during the 2nd quarter 2021 compared to 0 foreclosure deed filed during the 2nd quarter 2020. 

 

Finally, homestead activity in Dover increased 18% during the 2nd quarter 2021 with 47 homesteads filed, compared to 40 filed during the same time period in 2020.
