Dover, MA 3rd Quarter 2019 Real Estate Activity Report

During the 3rd quarter of 2019, real estate activity in Dover saw increases in both total sales volume and average sales price.

 

There was a 15% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Dover during the 3rd quarter 2019. 429 land documents were recorded versus 372 during the third quarter 2018.  

 

The total volume of real estate sales in Dover during the 3rd quarter 2019 was $50,692,514, a 26% increase from the same time period in 2018. Also, the average sale price of homes and commercial property increased 13% in Dover. The average sale price was $1,299,808. 

 

The number of mortgages recorded (102) on Dover properties during the 3rd quarter 2019 was up 76% from the 3rd quarter 2018. Also, total mortgage indebtedness increased 60% to $65,171,125 during the same period.

 

There were 0 foreclosure deeds filed against Dover properties during the 3rd quarter 2019 versus 1 foreclosure deed filed during the 3rd quarter 2018.  

 

Finally, homestead activity decreased 19% in Dover during the 3rd quarter 2019 with 39 homesteads filed compared to 48 during the same time period in 2018.
