Real Estate activity in Sharon, MA during the 2nd quarter of 2015 saw a small increase in total real estate sales but a decline in total mortgage indebtedness.
There was a 20% increase in the number of land documents recorded at the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds from the town of Sharon during the 2nd quarter of 2015. 1,096 land documents were recorded versus 910 during the 2nd quarter of 2014.
The total dollar volume of real estate sales in Sharon during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was $41,884,037, a 3% increase over 2014 2nd quarter numbers. The average sales price of deeds over $1000, both residential and commercial properties, was $558,453, a 7% increase from the same time period in 2014.
The number of mortgages recorded against Sharon properties during the 2nd quarter of 2015 was 262, a 21% increase from the 2nd quarter 2014 number. Total mortgage indebtedness was $85,225,416 for the quarter compared to $100,606,755 for the 2nd quarter 2014.
No foreclosure deeds were filed against Sharon property during the 2nd quarter 2015.
Finally, homestead activity decreased in Sharon during the 2nd quarter 2015 with 91 Homesteads recorded representing a 6% decrease from the 2nd quarter 2014 total of 97.
