Register O’Donnell Delivers Donated Food to Brookline Food Pantry

Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell recently delivered donations of food to the Brookline Food Pantry. The contributions came from the Registry staff, title examiners and the public who participated in the Registry’s 11th Annual Holiday Food Drive which was held from November 21st to December 30th.

The Register stated, “On behalf of the many people who contributed to the Registry’s food drive, it is my pleasure to deliver these items.” He handed over such items as boxes of spaghetti, jars of sauce, canned soups, vegetable, fruits and cleaning and paper products several of which are in high demand, especially during the winter season.

“Many of our neighbors are in dire need of nutrition. A study by Project Bread noted that 1 out of 9 families in the Commonwealth are food insecure. Children are the most vulnerable with 1 in 7 being food insecure.  Compounding the situation is that winter is the toughest season to balance a family’s budget, given home heating costs,” said Register O’Donnell.

While at the Pantry, Register O’Donnell had the opportunity to view its operation. “You can feel and see all the hard work that goes into making this venture a success. It is a very impressive operation with many devoted volunteers,” he noted.

The Brookline Food Pantry is open to all Brookline Residents who are low-income and in need of food. For more information on the Pantry’s operations, please go to  or call them at 617-566-4953
